Syracuse FC Hosts National Champions in Inaugural Home Opener

Syracuse FC, Central New York’s new NPSL team, will kick off its inaugural season tomorrow night. Central New York soccer fans can cheer on their new home town team at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 20th, when Syracuse FC will face defending NPSL National Champions AFC Cleveland at OCC’s David W Murphy Field.

"We have high expectations for our inaugural season in the NPSL,” said Syracuse FC Head Coach/GM Matt Tantalo. “Our roster comprises high level players with local ties as well as talented players from outside the area. We expect to be a dynamic and exciting team that is competitive among the NPSL's elite."

“Syracuse FC fans will be able to follow an outdoor soccer team competing in a national league,” said team President Jaro Zawislan. “They will be able to experience the rivalries, passion and excitement enjoyed by soccer fans around the world.”
