Jaro Zawislan, President: Zawislan was an NCAA DI coach for over 16 years, most recently as head coach at Cornell University and previously as assistant coach at Creighton University, Stanford and Syracuse University. A former NCAA DI collegiate player at Clemson University, Zawislan also played professionally in Europe and North America. He has been part of eight NCAA tournament teams as either a player or a coach, including two Final Four appearances with Creighton and Stanford.
Matt Tantalo, Vice President/General Manager: Matt Tantalo will serve as General Manager and Head Coach for Syracuse FC in it's inaugural 2017 season. Tantalo, who served as Head Coach of current conference rival NPSL Rochester River Dogz FC (now Rochester Lancers) in 2016 comes to Syracuse with 20 years of college coaching experience in the NCAA holding the following positions; Assistant Men's Soccer Coach- Nazareth College (1998-2000), Head Men's Soccer Coach- Elmira College (2001-2003), Assistant Men's Soccer Coach- Syracuse University (2004), Head Men's Soccer Coach- Keuka College (2005-2015), and in current role as Head Men's Soccer Coach at Nazareth College (2016-). A former collegiate, PDL and USL Pro League player, Tantalo holds an NSCAA National Diploma, USSF National "B" License, and a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine.
Joe Papaleo, Vice President, Soccer Operations: Papaleo has been head coach at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse for 21 years, and has led the team to numerous regional and state titles. As a player, he was an All American goalie at NCAA DI Syracuse University and played professionally across North America for 12 years. Papaleo was inducted into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 for his distinguished career as both player and coach.
Marcello Vitale, Vice President, Business Operations: Vitale has been coaching soccer for more than 30 years at the youth and high school levels, and he has helped to establish numerous soccer clubs in the Syracuse area. Vitale played NCAA DI soccer at Syracuse University, where he was all state and leading scorer for all four years. He is SU’s all-time leading scorer and has the second most assists. He was drafted by the Buffalo Stallions of the MISL.
L.J. Papaleo, Director of Sales & Marketing: L.J. Papaleo is the head coach of the Fayetteville-Manlius JV Boys Soccer team, and he has also coached at the youth and collegiate levels. An all-star player at Christian Brothers Academy, he went on to play NCAA DI soccer at Albany and Syracuse University. Papaleo played professionally in Europe and for the Syracuse Silver Knights, helping take the team to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
