June 11, 2017

Syracuse FC fell to Thruway rivals Rochester Lancers and FC Buffalo this weekend in a disappointing road trip to Western New York. They faced the Lancers on June 9th at Wegman’s Field in Rochester. Syracuse FC had a number of chances to score in the first half of the match, but were unable to capitalize. In the second half, Rochester produced two goals, for a final score of Syracuse FC 0 - Rochester Lancers 2.

Syracuse FC headed further along the Thruway on Sunday afternoon, June 11th, to face FC Buffalo for the first time. They entered Robert E Rich All High Stadium down two players, due to an injury and a red card from Friday night’s game in Rochester. The score ended with a disappointing 1-5 loss for Syracuse FC. Jake Kohlbrenner scored SFC’s lone goal in the 21st minute, with an assist by Nate Bourdeau.

Syracuse FC is looking to turn the field this Wednesday, June 14th, when they welcome FC Buffalo to OCC’s David W. Murphy Field at 7:30 pm for a rematch.

SFC will be home again on Saturday, June 17th. They will host the Erie Commodores at OCC’s Murphy Field at 7 pm, where the two NPSL teams will face off for the first time.

Match day tickets are available at the box office beginning one hour prior to every home game (at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, and 6:00 pm on Saturday). Syracuse FC merchandise is available for purchase at SyracuseFCshop.net.
