April 25, 2017
Syracuse FC announced Tuesday that it has signed Camillus native Stefanos Stamoulacatos to its inaugural team.
The 5’11” midfielder began his soccer career at West Genesee, where he was named to All-League, All-CNY, All-Region and All-State teams. He represented the U.S. on U-18 and U-19 teams during his senior year, traveling to a tournament in Portugal and to the Stuttgart World Championship Junior Cup in Germany.
Stamoulacatos went on to Syracuse University, where he played every game of his three seasons there. He decided to forego his senior year at SU to sign with Greek professional club Iraklis Thessaloniki FC in January of 2015.
Stamoulacatos returned to the US and his hometown to join the Syracuse Silver Knights in January of 2016.
Additional player signings will be announced throughout the coming weeks as Syracuse FC continues to develop its inaugural roster. Syracuse FC season tickets are available at syracusefcshop.net/2017-season-tickets. Syracuse FC merchandise is available for purchase at SyracuseFCshop.net.
