Syracuse FC announced Monday that it has signed Nathan Bourdeau to its inaugural team. The 5’9” midfielder played USL soccer with the Rochester Rhinos and was a member of the 2015 USL Championship team. Bourdeau has played with the Syracuse Silver Knights since 2012, earning MISL team of the week in his first season.

Bourdeau began his soccer career at Baldwinsville’s Baker High School, where he is the school’s all-time leader in goals and assists. He was a 6-year member of the Region 1 ODP team and a U-18 US National Team member.

In 2008, Bourdeau was an Adidas ESP attendee and was named to the all-star team with the top 36 players in the country. A Top 100 recruit, the Baldwinsville native went on to play soccer at Boston College for one season before transferring to Rutgers University in 2009. Bourdeau was a three-year starter with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. As a senior, he was an All Big East Team member and captained a team that went to the Sweet 16, where he received team MVP honors.

Additional player signings will be announced throughout the coming weeks as Syracuse FC continues to develop its inaugural roster. Syracuse FC season tickets are available at syracusefcshop.net/2017-season-tickets. Syracuse FC merchandise is available for purchase at SyracuseFCshop.net.
