Syracuse FC announced Friday that it has signed four LeMoyne College players to its inaugural team.  Sam Daniel, Callum Donnelly, Ryan Matthews and Marcello Palucci helped take the Dolphins to the conference tournament final and an NCAA tournament 1st round appearance in 2016. 

5'10” Daniel plays both defender and midfielder. A native of Scotland, Daniel played in every game of his 2016 sophomore season at LeMoyne and will be a junior captain for the 2017 season.  Prior to LeMoyne, Daniel played for Spartans FC and Heart of Midlothian FC in Scotland. 

5’7” midfielder Donnelly will be a 2017 graduate of LeMoyne. He was captain of the 2016 Dolphins team and was named to the 2016 NE-10 All-Championship Team.  Before joining the Dolphins, Donnelly attended Webber International University in Florida, where he was named Second Team All Sun Conference in 2013. Donnelly played for St Johnstone U19 in his native Scotland before coming to the U.S. 

Another 2017 graduate, 6’2” defender Matthews started in every game of his two years with the Dolphins and was named to the 2016 NE-10 All-Championship Team.  A native of Ireland, Matthews represented his country at the international level on U16, U17, U18 and U19 teams. He helped Dublin’s Belvedere FC win two national titles and helped his Dublin Institute of Technology team to a 2013 national title before transferring to LeMoyne. 

5’10” attacking midfielder Palucci just completed his junior season with the Dolphins, and was the team's second leading scorer. The Miami, FL native transferred to LeMoyne from Florida International in 2015 and has been a mainstay in the midfield, starting in 36 out of 37 matches.

 
Additional player signings will be announced throughout the coming weeks as Syracuse FC continues to develop its inaugural roster. The team’s first ever game, against NPSL defending champions AFC Cleveland, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at OCC’s David W. Murphy Field.
